This section is designed to help you choose the right clinic, and to demystify what your fertility journey might look like. We want to give you an idea of what you’ll do, and who you’ll meet along the way. There are plenty of links to more information about each stage.
We have put together pathways for the following scenarios. We hope this explains how we can help you try to start or grow your family. If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to call the clinic, where someone will be available to talk things over.
A typical IVF journey can also be called a ‘stimulated cycle’. Here, treatment will involve drugs that stimulate your body so we can collect a number of eggs for fertilisation.
You might be returning for treatment using your own frozen or donor frozen embryos. This does not need any of the stimulating drugs so is termed an un-stimulated cycle and the journey is very similar.
There are a number of ways we can help you to start or grow a family. What you need will depend on your individual situation: it could be surrogacy, fertility preservation, egg freezing, help from donors, surgery, or embarking on a natural cycle to try to have a child.
If you’re not sure which options are best for you, call us at the clinic, and we can talk through what you need.
Whatever your journey, there are a few key stages that apply to everyone who comes to the clinic for treatment.
