Blastocyst Transfer

This technique involves using micromanipulation to thin or make a hole in the outside shell or zone pellucida of the embryo to help the embryo hatch and subsequently implant.  The evidence for improving pregnancy rate is not conclusive and again this technique is generally only used in older patients or those with repeated IVF failure.
